Where Stories Become a Harbor
Fictionalized letters inspired by real foster‑care and family experiences — crafted to bring families, youth, and communities closer.
What Is K‑Letters Club?
K‑Letters Club is a storytelling project that helps deepen understanding and build stronger connections across the foster‑care, adoption, and family community. At the heart of the Club is our flagship letter series, The Quiet Strength of Prince Keston, inspired by authentic emotions, challenges, and courage.
Each letter is crafted with trauma‑informed care, emotional sensitivity, and heartfelt respect for youth and families in transition. The stories are fictionalized to protect privacy — yet they carry the emotional truth that helps families and communities understand one another more fully.

How K‑Letters Began
K‑Letters Club grew out of the creative work of Kool Harbor Studios, a storytelling and communications studio specializing in foster care and adoption. The studio is dedicated to crafting narratives that honor lived experience, uplift community voices, and help agencies find dedicated foster parents. It also equips families with the narrative tools they need to stay connected through challenging moments.
Founded on the belief that stories can be a harbor — a place where people feel seen, understood, and safe — Kool Harbor Studios centers children, families, and communities navigating complex systems. Through books, workshops, and collaborative storytelling, the studio supports both caregivers and youth with language that fosters connection and understanding.
K‑Letters Club carries this mission forward by offering a gentle, imaginative way to explore the emotional realities of foster care and family life in the community. These letters help caregivers find words for difficult moments, help youth feel understood, and help communities grow in empathy, awareness, and connection.
What We Believe
Stories Build Bridges
Understanding a child’s emotional world helps us support them more fully.
Community Matters
Foster care is not just a system — it’s a community effort.
Language Heals
Sometimes the hardest part is finding the right words. Our letters help families begin those conversations.
Every Child Deserves Belonging
We imagine a world where every young person is met with dignity, compassion, and connection.

Our Mission
K‑Letters Club was created to bring our community closer to the realities of foster care and adoption. These letters are crafted for everyone — neighbors, caregivers, social workers, educators, and anyone who wants to understand the emotional landscape of youth in transition.
By sharing fictionalized stories rooted in real experiences, we raise awareness, spark empathy, and open conversations that too often remain unspoken.
We believe that when a community understands a child’s journey, it becomes better equipped to support them. Each letter is an invitation to see beyond the file, to recognize the humanity within the system, and to imagine a world where every child is met with belonging rather than barriers.

Our Vision
We envision a world where every child in transition feels held by a community that understands them — and where stories become a source of grounding, connection, and hope.
